Barbara Rector, member of the team at Medicine Horse RanchBarbara K. Rector

Credited globally with development of practice of psychotherapy with the help of horses (Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy EFP) in clinical setting of residential psychiatric hospital in early 1990, Barbara has also contributed to the wide spread teaching practice of experiential education with the help of horses (Equine Facilitated Learning EFL).

Barbara’s Adventures In Awareness curriculum, offering wellness work with the help of horses expanding awareness and developing consciousness, formed the bases for Prescott College degree programs in mental health counseling and environmental studies. Currently Barbara is implementing an elders and horses program on the purpose- built campus of senior assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing and Hospice.

Gaby Fabian

Gaby Fabian is a Certified Equine Guided Educator with over a decade of experience facilitating horse/human experiential workshops.

In 2009 Gaby coined the term Equine Guided Recovery™, referring to a coaching practice for clients in treatment for addiction, trauma, co-dependency and relational issues. She facilitates weekly equine recovery sessions at Medicine Horse Ranch on behalf of adult and adolescent treatment centers, as adjunct staff and support for their clients.

Gaby’s current focus is developing “The Equine Guide to the Four Agreements”, based on the work of Don Miguel Ruiz. These life affirming principles (Be impeccable with your word, Don’t take anything personally, Don’t make assumptions, and Always do your best), provides a unique focus for both personal and professional development.

Shannon Presson

Shannon Presson is an ICF certified coach with a focus on Equine Experiential Learning, a Master Practitioner/Trainer in the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and a licensed HorseDream™ Partner. Her passion is helping people let go of the old stories and limiting beliefs that hold them back and believes in the power of transformation that happens when humans and horses connect in authentic and heartfelt ways.

In addition to her professional certifications and training, Shannon studied with contemporary teachers such as Angeles Arrien, Linda Kohanov and Dr. Clarissa Pinkola-Estés. Prior to entering the coaching profession, Shannon spent 21 years as a corporate event planner, working with senior management for such companies as Anheuser-Busch, Earthgrains and MCI Communications as well as running DSP Associates Inc, a successful IT company.
